Stronger for Life — Frequently Asked Questions

1. What is Stronger for Life?

Stronger for Life is a quarterly strength, balance, and walk/run programme designed to help adults aged 40+ stay active, steady, and confident as they age.

It focuses on practical, achievable movement that supports everyday life — walking safely, standing up with confidence, maintaining balance, and staying independent.

The programme is delivered by CJM’S Events using the Run NZ Run platform and is Approved by ACC’s Live Stronger for Longer programme.

2. How is Stronger for Life connected to ACC?

Stronger for Life is Approved by ACC’s Live Stronger for Longer programme, which focuses on healthy ageing, improving strength and balance, and reducing the risk of falls.

While Stronger for Life is independently delivered by CJM’S Events, it has been designed around the same nationally recognised principles used across New Zealand to support older adults’ strength, balance, and wellbeing.

3. Is Stronger for Life an ACC programme?

No. Stronger for Life is not owned or delivered by ACC.

It is delivered by CJM’S Events and endorsed by ACC’s Live Stronger for Longer programme because it aligns with the programme’s goals and principles around strength, balance, and fall prevention.

This is similar to how community exercise providers operate under the Live Stronger for Longer framework.
