for adults aged 55+, with a strong focus on healthy ageing, confidence, and independence.
As we age, injuries — particularly those caused by falls — can have a significant impact not only on individuals, but also on families, whānau, and communities.
Strength and balance programmes are widely recognised in New Zealand as an effective way to help reduce the risk of falls, improve confidence with everyday movement, and support older adults to remain active and independent for longer.
Stronger for Life has been designed around these same principles, with a focus on practical, achievable movement that supports strength, balance, and confidence in everyday life.
This programme supports general physical activity and wellbeing and does not replace personalised medical or clinical advice.
